Oracle: Skip locked rows
In Oracle 11g you can
SELECT *
FROM EMPLOYEES
FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED;
Which means that you'll get rows that are not locked by another session.
SELECT *
FROM EMPLOYEES
FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED;
